Los Guzmancitos Wind Farm – Electrical Systems Deployment

Puerto Plata Province Dominican Republic • 48 MW Onshore Wind Power Generation

Project Overview

Radiant Grid Energy is supporting the final installation phase of the Los Guzmancitos Wind Farm in Puerto Plata Province, Dominican Republic. The project is being developed by Caribbean Renewable Infrastructure S.A. and represents one of the region’s key renewable energy initiatives designed to expand clean electricity generation capacity.

Under a subcontracted engagement, Radiant Grid Energy has been tasked with overseeing procurement coordination, logistics supervision, and commissioning support for critical turbine electrical systems. The scope of work includes supply chain coordination for turbine control modules, electrical infrastructure components, and power conversion systems required for turbine activation and grid synchronization.

The assignment requires on-site leadership to ensure that component delivery, vendor coordination, and installation readiness align with the project’s commissioning schedule.

Scope of Work

  • Site assessment and feasibility study
  • Engineering design and permitting
  • Procurement and logistics management
  • Construction and installation
  • Grid interconnection and commissioning
  • Operations and maintenance setup

Technical Challenges

Wind turbine commissioning requires precise coordination between procurement logistics, equipment delivery timelines, and installation readiness. Due to the remote location of the project site and the specialized nature of turbine electrical components, delays in the supply chain can significantly impact turbine commissioning schedules.

The final installation phase requires critical electrical systems including turbine control modules, inverter units, and power conversion equipment to arrive on site in optimal condition and within strict commissioning timelines. Any disruption in procurement coordination, packaging compliance, or transport logistics can delay turbine activation and grid connection.

Our Solution & Approach

Radiant Grid Energy deployed a senior procurement and project management team to oversee on-site coordination of turbine electrical systems and supply chain logistics. The team is responsible for verifying equipment delivery, supervising component transport, and coordinating supplier payments to maintain project momentum.

Through direct procurement oversight and vendor coordination, the deployment team ensures that critical turbine components are delivered, inspected, and prepared for installation according to commissioning requirements. This approach minimizes delays and supports the successful integration of turbine systems into the regional electrical grid.
